A range of fluid inlets

EECs ensure that engines operate with utmost efficiency, while remaining within safe operating limits. EMUs provide the data for assessing the engine’s condition and avoiding operator disruption.

The EEC is a high-integrity, full authority digital control that combines engine sensor information with cockpit instructions to ensure that an engine performs both safely and at an optimal level.

Usually mounted to the fan case of an engine, the EEC is built to continue functioning regardless of the high temperatures, vibration, and humidity it faces.

It is also able to withstand the effects of lightning strikes, electromagnetic fields and solar radiation.

Our new generation EEC provide a simpler solution for high-integrity, harsh environment engine control and health monitoring. Compared to traditional controllers, it offers half the cost per function, significantly reduced new product introduction lead times, and lower through-life costs.

Together with the EMU, the EEC provide a complete solution for safe engine control with minimal costs of operation.

Features

Capability to Operate in a Harsh Environment

Our EECs are built to handle high levels of vibration, operating temperatures ranging from -55°C to 125°C, high levels of humidity and even the effects of lightning strike and the intense electromagnetic fields generated by airport radar systems.

The EEC’s electronics are also robust enough to withstand the effects of solar radiation that can be experienced at high altitudes, ensuring that there are no interruptions to safety critical functions.

Powered by In-House Technology

Our EECs are independently powered by permanent magnet alternators, specified and supplied by us.

They also feature our own in-house high-integrity, harsh environment Visium™CORE micro-processor. Specifically designed for safety critical control, the processors also form part of our obsolescence solution for all our range of electronic products.

A Speedy Response

Our EEC units have to respond quickly, typically performing a complete control cycle 40 times per second, and even more frequently for certain safety functions.

This ensures high integrity control with fast and appropriate response to anomalies.
